Day-By-Day: Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Start your 5 day off season gorilla and chimp safari
Our 5 Day off season gorilla and chimp safari will begin by picking you up from Entebbe International Airport or your guest house to drive to southwestern Uganda. You first major stop will be at the Equator crossing for stretching, photography and if possible simple experiments. You will proceed to Mbarara town for a lunch break. You may have an opportunity to see the Hima Pastoral people grazing their long horned Ankole cattle, impalas and Zebras grazing in community land near Lake Mburo National Park. After lunch in Mbarara, you will drive past rolling hills of Kabale arriving in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 02: Face to Face with a Gorilla – on a discounted gorilla permit.
Today we start our 5 day off season gorilla and chimp safari by going to the forest to trek the endangered mountain gorillas of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will wake up very early to prepare yourself for your gorilla trek. Make sure you put on the right gorilla trekking gear which may include trousers, long sleeved shirts, garden gloves, long socks, sun glasses, a hat, insect repellants, and energy giving food, your cameras before proceeding to the restaurant for breakfast. The lodge will provide enough drinking water so there is no need to worry. Proceed to the park headquarters to join other clients for briefing and then to the forest to look for the gorillas. Once you find them, you will be given one hour of photography and observation before returning back to the lodge. Gorilla trekking can be a little bit strenuous and a certain level of fitness may be required. We also encourage our clients to take porters to give them a push or a pull during the trek. Day 03: Drive to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Kibale Forest National Park. This drive will take us through Queen Elizabeth National Park since the high way to Fort Portal town passes through this park. You will have an opportunity to see the rift valley, Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes as well as several rivers that originate from the melt water of the great Rwenzori mountains. Arrive in Fort Portal town for hot lunch and proceed to the Lodge for relaxation, Dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Chimp trekking with discounted chimp permits
After breakfast you will drive to Kibale National Park headquarters at Kanyancyu for briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the forest trekking chimpanzees. You and your guide plus other clients will head to the forest to look for a given community of wild but habituated chimpanzees. You will be allowed to spend one hour with chimps for photography and observation but your walk will be punctuated by lots of birds, other primates among others. After your chimp trek, you will drive to the nearby Bigodi village for a wetland walk to identify other primates and birds that you could have missed on your trek. Bigodi wetland walk is controlled by the community and when one participates in it, all returns will be given to the local community for development.

Day 05: End of 5 Day off season gorilla and chimp safari
After your breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight out. You will make stops in Mbarara or Equator for Lunch as you say bye to Uganda the Pearl of Africa.
