ITINIRARY / TRIP HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Arrival at Entebbe, the gateway to Uganda, The Pearl of Africa.
  • Head to Kibale NP, the World’s Primate Capital for Chimps
  • Drive to Bwindi, for a face to face with a gorilla exprerice,
  • Back to Entebbe and , Nairobi: Kenya’s Capital city and an economic hub for Africa
  • Amboseli National Park: The best Kenyan National Park to view the African Elephants and also a great place to view Africa’s highest Mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro.
  • Lake Naivasha/Hell’s Gate: The Great Rift Valley’s fresh water lakes rich in bird life. Hell’s lake is a unique park where one can cycle/walk in presence of wild animals like buffaloes.
  • Maasai Mara: The most iconic and prolific park in East Africa with all the members of the big five; Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo. Famous for the annual Wildebeest migration between July – October.
Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe Uganda

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport , where your trip manager from Gorilland TravelCare Uganda will meet and transfer you to your hotel for a trip briefing and your night relax.

Overnight: Skyz Hotel By Mattiot / Latitude Zero Hotel

 

Day 2: Entebbe – Kibale  National Park   

After Breakfast, set off for a 6 hours drive west wards to Kibale National park, the world’s primate capital. You will be booked in for a late afternoon chimpanzee tracking. During the tracking, you are likely to encounter other species of primates, butterflies and tropical forest birds.

Overnight: primates lodge / Chimps Nest Lodge / Kikorongo Safari lodge.

 

Day 3: Kibale Bwindi Impenetrable National Park   

 

Wake up to a lazy breakfast and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, through the Queen Elizabeth national park. You will have your lunch stop at Kikorongo Safari lodge, just a few meters from the Equator line monument, stop at the Equator lone for picture moments, and proceed, via the Ishasha sector , famous for tree climbing lions.

Night at: Mohogany or Ruhidje Lodge

 

Day 4: Face to face with a Gorilla  

 

Wake up for an early breakfast and head to the Park offices for the tracking experience briefing. Shortly, set off the lifetime thrill that takes between 3 hours of an entire day, since the gentle giants are mobile.  You will have a full hour, face to face with a gorilla in her natural habitat.

After the amazing thrill, walk back to your lodge for a late checkout and head to the beautiful lake Bunyonyi for a night.

Overnight: Arcadia Safari lodge  / Keije Bunyonyi Lodge.

 

Day 5: Kabale – Entebbe  – Nairobi – Kenya  

Set off for you  8 hours’ drive return to Entebbe international airport , for an evening  1 hour flight connection to Nairobi for the phase two of your trip.

On arrival at the airport, our experienced guide and the regional Manager will meet you. After a

short briefing, you will be transferred to your city hotel. The guide will give you an insight on the wonderful adventures ahead of your safari.

Day 6: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park   

Early this morning after a sumptuous buffet breakfast at your Hotel, you will be transferred to the Wilson airport where you will catch your scheduled flight to seli National Park. The flight departs at 0730hrs, arriving Amboseli at 0800hrs. On arrival at the airfield in a scenic location, your knowledgeable guide will welcome you and immediately start your game viewing drive en-route to your Camp.

Amboseli National Park is located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.

 

Arrive for lunch followed by an afternoon game viewing drive.

 

Your stay at Amboseli will be at Tortilis Camp. The Camp is widely regarded as the prime location for witnessing the majesty of snow-capped Kilimanjaro. The Camp is named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree that surrounds the camp, the Acacia Tortili. The tents are all spacious, with king or twin beds and elegant en suite bathrooms. There is a main lounge, bar and dining area, all exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs, with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro

Day 7: Amboseli National Park   

Spend the day exploring this park that is rich in diversity. You will have morning and afternoon game viewing drives. The Park is famous for the dramatic views of Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world, and the highest peak on the African continent. Kilimanjaro at 19,340ft or 5,894m rises dramatically out of the 4000ft (1,200m) Amboseli plains. Amboseli is also famous for its elephant herds, which have been followed and documented by world renowned researcher Cynthia Moss.

Enjoy game drives and Sun downers in complete privacy. The guides delight in sharing their local knowledge, especially of the elephant families and their histories and to point out the special flora and fauna of this breath taking area. They impart their inherited knowledge of the bush, traditional medicine and folklore and will encourage you to take a practical interest in the environment.

Day 8: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha

After a sumptuous breakfast at your Camp, you will be transferred to the airstrip to catch your flight to Nairobi. The flight departs at about 0810hrs, arriving Nairobi at 0840hrs. Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting; you will then begin your road safari to Lake Naivasha., one of the Great Rift Valley’s fresh water lakes. Arrive in time for lunch, then a visit to Hell’s gate National Park. The park is famous for its natural hot geysers, eagle and vulture breeding grounds. It’s the only Park where visitors can walk or cycle past huge herds of buffaloes on looking. The Park has special locations for great viewing including: Fischer’s Tower, formerly a volcano’s plug, the Central Tower and Njorowa Gorges. The hot springs and a fabulous scenic landscape besides the diverse game are just incredible. Guests can also walk in the gorge (Only during dry season). Later you will drive to your Hotel for Dinner and Overnight..

Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Reserve  

After breakfast, you will begin your journey of the Maasai Mara Game reserve. The Maasai Mara is arguably Kenya’s most popular game reserve. It is most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film “Out of Africa” was made to a great extends in this sanctuary. There is a profusion of all types of wildlife including the big five. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeests, zebras, and the gazelles from the Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June. The game Reserve abounds with birdlife since close to about four hundred and fifty two odd species have been recorded.

Arrive in time for lunch, then later an afternoon game drive.

Return for dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 10 & 11: Inside the Maasai Mara Game Reserve  

These two days you will spend inside this magnificent reserve. You will have full day game drives. Early morning drives are essential as this is the time you are likely to see more wildlife as this is their most active time.

NB// if you are interested in the Balloon rides, followed by a bush breakfast, you will do it on the second day where you will be picked up at 0500hrs and the flight begins at 0600hrs over the Maasai Mara plains.

Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 12: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi – Entebbe – Depart  

You can have an early game dive, and then return for breakfast at the Lodge. After breakfast, you will depart back to Nairobi., then a 1 hour flight to Entebbe International Airport .You will have  had lunch at the Carnivore restaurant, in Kenya , before being transferred to the airport for your departure flight back home.
